We are currently seeking a reliable and safety‐focused Casual Shuttle Bus Driver to support our staff and students. This role is ideal for someone looking for part‐time, split‐shift hours, with additional opportunities during the school day and occasional Saturdays.
All Canterbury staff are expected to support the school's Anglican ethos and values.
Responsibilities
* Drive a College‐owned 12‐seater shuttle bus, transporting staff and students between local train stations and the College campus, and supporting excursions and events.
* Operate a shuttle bus safely in accordance with road laws and College policies.
* Conduct pre‐start and post‐trip vehicle safety checks and maintain a clean, roadworthy vehicle at all times.
* Ensure punctual pick‐up and drop‐off services; provide a friendly, respectful and professional service to students and staff.
* Monitor student behaviour during transit and report concerns in line with College procedures.
* Complete basic logbooks or records as required; support College excursions and events when scheduled.
Key Selection Criteria
* Demonstrated experience driving a similar vehicle to high safety standards.
* Ability to cope within a high‐pressure environment – staying calm and positive.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good communication skills, both written and oral.
Essential Qualifications
* A current Queensland driver licence suitable for a 12‐seater vehicle.
* A good driving record.
* A current Blue Card (or willingness to obtain).
* A responsible and personable approach when working with young people.
