In this role you will play a crucial part in the delivery of professional building cost management and construction cost consulting services.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Estimate and monitor construction costs from the project feasibility stage, through tender preparation, to the construction period and beyond.
* Maximise value, minimise risk, and optimise all building cost outcomes.
* Complete detailed cost estimates calculated from a measured scope of works.
* Compare contractor's quotations against industry standard building rates and margins.
* Provide m2 elemental reports to estimate "value at risk" for underinsurance purposes.
* Complete progress claims and variation assessments.
* Work closely with internal loss adjusters
About you:
* Qualification: Either Bachelor of Building and Construction Management, Bachelor of Construction Management and Property, Bachelor of Urban Development (Quantity Surveying and Cost Engineering) or Bachelor of Construction
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Sound knowledge of the insurance industry (claims lifecycle) including the legislative framework, applicable codes and products
