Job Title: ITC House Manager
The Pathfinders organisation provides a range of support services to individuals and families, including Supported Accommodation and Homelessness services, Family and Youth Support services, National Aboriginal Birth Certificate program, Client Support Services and Out of Home Care services. These services are located across various regions in NSW.
This role is for an ITC House Manager who will be responsible for developing and maintaining a team of therapeutic youth workers to deliver Out of Home Care (OoHC) services in a therapeutic setting to Children and Young People in Care. The successful candidate will ensure the provision of a safe, nurturing and home-like environment for Children and Young People in residence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain a small core team of therapeutic youth workers to deliver OoHC services in a therapeutic setting.
* Evaluate and implement effective interventions and strategies to address the needs of Children and Young People in residence.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide culturally sensitive and appropriate care and support.
* Maintain accurate records and reports as required by the organisation and relevant authorities.
* Foster strong relationships with local communities, stakeholders and partner agencies to promote the organisation's services and values.
Requirements:
* Degree or diploma in a related field such as social work, psychology or child and youth care.
* Proven experience working with children and young people in out-of-home care settings.
* Knowledge and understanding of cultural safety principles and practices.
* Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups and individuals.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
