The Safety, Quality and Governance at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Clinical Nurse (Quality & Safety) to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity
The Clinical Nurse provides nursing services within the health service settings; and is responsible for a portfolio with a focus on safe clinical care delivered through robust governance systems, leadership, education and research. The role will provide support to the Nurse Manager (Quality and Accreditation) with allocated responsibility to business units for Quality, Safety and Accreditation outcome across the hospital service portfolios, and defined business units.

The Clinical Excellence Unit within the MHHS provides support and advice across all aspects of Service Delivery to maximize opportunities for continuous improvement that reflect contemporary practice that enhance opportunity for exceptional consumer outcomes. This is achieved through shared resources working together to provide Education, Quality, Patient Safety, Infection Control, Clinical and Service Governance.
