Quatro Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Roadworks for a leading civil infrastructure client to lead the successful delivery of civil infrastructure projects across regional Queensland. This is a FIFO, project-based role based out of Emerald, offering the opportunity to work on large-scale roadworks and civil construction projects.

About the Role
As Project Manager, you will take full ownership of project delivery—from mobilisation through to completion—ensuring strong performance across safety, quality, programme, and commercial outcomes. You'll lead site teams, manage key stakeholder relationships, and drive results in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage end-to-end delivery of roadworks and civil infrastructure projects
* Oversee bulk earthworks, pavement construction, and stabilisation works
* Develop and manage project schedules, identifying risks and driving mitigation strategies
* Ensure compliance with specifications, standards, and design requirements
* Coordinate drainage, stormwater, and erosion control works
Commercial Management
* Own project budgets, forecasts, and cost reporting
* Prepare and manage progress claims and subcontractor payments
* Identify and manage variations, EOTs, and contractual entitlements
* Maintain accurate cost-to-complete forecasts
HSEQ & Compliance
* Lead and promote a strong safety culture across all project activities
* Ensure compliance with HSEQ systems, SWMS, and statutory requirements
* Oversee environmental, quality, and regulatory obligations
About You
* 7+ years' experience in civil construction (minimum 3 years in a PM or senior role)
* Proven experience delivering bulk earthworks and pavement projects
* Strong knowledge of stabilisation techniques (lime/cement)
* Experience with contracts such as AS4000 / AS2124 or similar
* Demonstrated ability managing projects valued at $5M+
* Current Driver's Licence and White Card
Desirable:
* Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
* Experience with DTMR/TMR projects
* Background in regional or FIFO project delivery
* Familiarity with ISO quality systems
