About The Role: The Administration Officer Level 3 is responsible for providing an effective administrative assistance and operational support to the Department of Palliative Care, working collaboratively within the departmental administration team. Utilizing well‐developed administrative and organisational skills, with ongoing training and support, the administrator will participate in activities across the inpatient and community operations of the department.
Responsibilities
* Join the administrative rotational roster across operations of the department, including referral processing and intake, inpatient administrative activities and support to the outreach team.
* Maintain high quality clinical records and ensure accurate patient information.
* Provide administrative support to clinicians, including generation of letters, communications and management of enquiries.
Qualifications & Skills
* Demonstrated experience in delivering administrative support to a clinical service and competency with MS Office, particularly Excel spreadsheets.
* Well‐developed communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with a diverse range of people whilst maintaining confidentiality, sound judgement and exercising discretion.
* Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision and as an effective member of a multidisciplinary team.
* Willing and able to work a 7‐day roster with flexibility to adapt with reasonable notice to work requirements when required.
* Desirable: Prior experience in a palliative care environment and working knowledge of medical terminology.
Remuneration
$35.84 to $36.96 per hour + super + annual leave loading.
