Let’s talk about the roles and responsibilities
As a Data Tester, you are responsible for validating data accuracy, integrity, and quality across various platforms. You will develop automated testing frameworks, perform SQL-based validation, test ETL pipelines and APIs, and ensure seamless data migration. Working in an Agile environment, you’ll leverage tools like Azure, Databricks, and DevOps to support end-to-end data testing in cloud-based ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and implement test cases to validate data in semi-structured databases such as Cosmos DB using Python within Azure Notebooks.
* Develop and maintain robust automation frameworks to support continuous testing.
* Perform thorough validation of source-to-target data mappings using strong SQL skills.
* Conduct ETL and data migration testing to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
* Perform API testing to verify functionality, reliability, and performance.
* Develop and execute automated test scripts for scalable test coverage.
Required Skills & Experience:
* Proficiency in Python for testing data within semi-structured databases.
* Hands-on experience in building and maintaining test automation frameworks.
* Strong expertise in SQL for data validation and mapping verification.
* Good understanding of Data Warehousing concepts and methodologies.
* Proven experience in ETL and data migration testing.
* Knowledge and experience in API testing and automated testing tools.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and its services.
* Understanding of Azure Cloud Platform architecture.
* Exposure to DevOps practices and tools.
* Experience working with Databricks.
