As a key member of our Maritime Sustainment line of business, you will be responsible for designing capability upgrades and support maintenance activities on the Hobart Class Destroyer (DDG).
The role involves collaborating with our engineering team, production, sustainment, procurement, and external suppliers to provide accurate and safe mechanical engineering services for the development or modification of equipment, systems, structures, and materials.
You will lead and collaborate on mechanical design aspects of engineering changes, utilizing engineering tools for design, analysis, and verification.
Mentoring and guiding junior engineers, conducting requirements analysis and producing detailed reports, supporting project management tasks, and tracking progress are also key responsibilities.
Key skills and qualifications include:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Naval Architecture, Marine or Aeronautical Engineering.
* Eligibility for graduate membership with Engineers Australia (IEAust).
* Proven experience as a professional engineer.
