As a Network and Systems Technician, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure, including involvement in new projects. You'll provide hands‑on support to staff, students, and parents, while contributing to the development and maintenance of secure, efficient systems and networks across the College.
This is a dynamic position that blends technical expertise and opportunities with a range of systems, alongside providing user‑facing support, offering variety and challenge in a collaborative team environment.
YOU WILL
* Provide responsive end‑user support across devices, applications, and connectivity
* Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
* Maintain and monitor systems using tools such as Microsoft Intune for device management and Microsoft Purview for data governance and compliance
* Assist in the design, rollout, and documentation of network and system solutions
* Support the lifecycle of infrastructure including installation, maintenance, and upgrades
* Deliver training sessions and create user documentation
* Contribute to IT projects and continuous improvement initiatives
* Ensure safe work practices and efficient resource use
Key technical skills
* Windows Server and Operating Systems
* Office 365 and Microsoft 365 Suite
* VMware and Virtualization Technologies
* Hyperconverged Infrastructure
* Cloud Services and Networking
* Microsoft Intune – for endpoint management
* Microsoft Purview – for data protection and compliance
* Help Desk Software – for ticketing and support tracking
Qualifications and experience
* Strong interest and confidence in Information Technologies, especially systems and networks
* Proven experience in IT support and troubleshooting in a school or enterprise environment
* Solid understanding of IT security, networking, and cloud technologies
* Excellent communication and documentation skills
* Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment
* Dedication to integrity, reliability, sound judgement, service and risk adversity
* Qualifications in Information Technology or a relevant equivalent highly regarded
* Working with Children blue card
