Formed as a sporting social club for the young men and women of the district in 1870, Port Adelaide has grown to be one of the nation's most successful professional sporting organisations. Our record of success is unparalleled – 4 Champions of Australia titles, 36 SANFL Premierships, 1 AFL Premiership. Today, we compete in three elite competitions: the Australian Football League (AFL), the Australian Football League Women's (AFLW), and the local South Australian National Football League (SANFL) as a foundation club.

Port Adelaide is the only genuine community football club from outside Victoria to earn entry to the national competition in its own right.

You'll leverage your proven marketing expertise across these critical pillars:

1. Premium Revenue Generation – Drive our corporate hospitality and coterie programs that connect businesses with one of Australia's most iconic sporting brands
2. Database Strategy & Execution – Transform our marketing communications using industry-leading platforms and sophisticated segmentation
3. Education Pathway Marketing – Build the next generation of sports administrators with our Port Adelaide Academy of Sport tertiary education program
4. Venue Activation & Growth – Establish The Precinct at Alberton as a premier destination


What You'll Lead

Corporate Hospitality & Premium Experiences

* Spearhead integrated marketing campaigns for our premium hospitality & experiences portfolio
* Collaborate with commercial stakeholders to develop compelling offers that drive revenue
* Create multi-channel content strategies that showcase exclusive experiences
* Analyse performance data and implement optimisation strategies to exceed targets
* Take ownership of our Salesforce Marketing Cloud implementation
* Build customer journeys that convert casual fans to loyal members
* Implement advanced segmentation and personalisation strategies
* Drive continuous improvement through comprehensive testing programs
* Elevate our approach to database growth and engagement metrics

Port Adelaide Academy of Sport Marketing

* Develop sophisticated lead generation campaigns for our tertiary education program
* Execute conversion-focused nurture strategies throughout the enrolment funnel
* Apply B2B and B2C marketing approaches to reach diverse target audiences
* Measure and optimise campaign performance against enrolment KPIs

The Precinct at Alberton Marketing

* Create innovative campaigns to position our venue in a competitive market
* Develop content strategies that showcase our unique offering
* Build integrated promotional calendars around key events and seasons
* Drive foot traffic and revenue through targeted digital marketing initiatives


Who We're Looking For

We're seeking a strategic thinker who connects individual initiatives to our broader business objectives, with the ability to see beyond immediate tactics. You're solutions-oriented and find practical ways forward through complex challenges with a "how can we make this work" mindset. As a cultural contributor, you'll embody our values while positively shaping our club environment.


Your Credentials

* 4-5 years of marketing experience with demonstrated success in campaign development and execution
* Proven track record in revenue-generating marketing initiatives
* Proficiency with Meta Business Suite, including campaign setup, audience targeting, and performance optimisation
* Advanced capabilities in digital analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Data Studio) and attribution modelling
* Experience optimising paid digital campaigns across search, social, and display channels
* Experience managing substantial marketing budgets across multiple channels
* Advanced skills in marketing analytics and performance optimisation
* Strong working knowledge of CRM platforms and email marketing systems
* Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (desirable)
* Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field
* A Valid Working with Children Check or ability to obtain one and a commitment to child safe environments

Working Relationships

Direct report to the Marketing Manager with visibility to senior leadership

Collaborative partnerships across Consumer, Commercial, Events, and Digital teams

External engagement with agencies, AFL, and industry partners

This role requires flexibility during the AFL season, including weekend work for home games and special events.
