Job Description

We are seeking a forward-thinking academic to join our School of Nursing in a continuing, part-time role (0.5 FTE with flexible days). The successful candidate will play a defining role in building a flagship program for advanced practice nursing and take full ownership of curriculum design, accreditation, and delivery strategy.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of Nurse Practitioner education and lead a landmark initiative that will have a lasting impact on the profession. You will be supported by a strong academic leadership team, including the Deputy Head of School, the Dean of Learning and Teaching, and the Faculty Accreditation Team, who will collaborate closely with you to bring this vision to life.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead the curriculum design, development, and accreditation process for the Master of Nurse Practitioner program.
* Integrate scholarly research and evidence-based practice into course content and delivery.
* Coordinate units and collaborate with colleagues to ensure pedagogical excellence.
* Mentor academic staff and contribute to the broader goals of the School of Nursing.

Requirements:

* Endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner.
* A doctoral qualification in relevant discipline ( or equivalent accreditation and professional standing ).
* Demonstrated high level teaching skills with a reflective approach to teaching delivery.
* A strong understanding of pedagogical theory and contemporary educational practice.
* Leadership skills with the ability to lead teaching and learning initiatives and provide mentoring to less experienced staff.
* A contribution to scholarship in teaching and learning.
* Demonstrated experience in curriculum development and unit/course coordination.
* An emerging record of peer reviewed publications in high quality journals.
* Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal and organisational skills with a commitment to the development of a collegial and supportive working environment and the ability to interact with students and staff with cross cultural sensitivity.
