About the Role
This role sits within the pricing and analytics function supporting large commercial and industrial (C&I;) customer portfolios. You will be responsible for modelling and validating pricing inputs, assessing wholesale energy trends, and ensuring pricing is competitive, compliant, and commercially sound.
The role interfaces closely with product managers, sales teams, and risk to ensure pricing aligns with customer needs and business objectives. You’ll bring rigour and responsiveness to a fast-moving workplace and support the ongoing optimisation of pricing models and margin performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and validate pricing models for C&I; customers across gas and electricity
- Analyse wholesale and retail energy market trends to inform pricing strategy
- Support tender responses, contract pricing, and margin analysis
- Provide analytics to support new product design and competitive positioning
- Collaborate with risk, sales, and finance on margin forecasting and performance tracking
- Ensure alignment of pricing with business risk appetite and regulatory requirements
- Maintain and enhance pricing tools, systems, and data validation processes
- Assist in commercial decisions related to large or bespoke customer contracts

Candidate Profile
- 5+ years’ experience in pricing, energy analytics, or commercial modelling
- Strong understanding of Australia’s wholesale and retail energy markets
- Proficient in Excel, SQL, and ideally Python or Power BI
- Experience with C&I; customer pricing or large-scale tendering highly regarded
- Analytical, commercially minded, and able to communicate complex insights clearly
- Ability to collaborate across commercial, technical, and risk teams
- Comfortable working in a dynamic and time-sensitive market environment
