They are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Legal Assistant to join their Insurance/Litigation team on a 6 month contract. In this busy and varied role you will be an integral part of team, handling a range of duties such as: prepare and type legal documents and associated correspondence; prepare and file subpoenas and arrange service of same; prepare briefs to counsel; liaise with clients, barristers, principals, interpreters and solicitors diary management, arranging appointments and coordinating meetings email and file management, including opening & closing files and archiving create detailed bills and disbursement accounts screen telephone calls dictaphone typing Skills and experience we'd love To be considered, you will have a minimum of 2-4 years experience as a Legal Assistant and supporting senior level practitioners. Litigation administration experience working at a law firm IS ESSENTIAL. You will also be able to demonstrate: polished legal secretarial and administrative skills advanced word processing abilities (typing speed/accuracy) strong attention to detail advanced technical skills (MS Word, PowerPoint, FileSite, CaseFlow) wide knowledge of VWA practice enthusiastic and flexible attitude ability to work collaboratively within a team Law Students will be considered, however MUST have previous Litigation Legal Administration/secretarial experience working at a law firm.
