Remuneration: $57.30 - $69.84 per hour

Where you'll be working

Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) Integrated and Community Health is a leading provider of community-based care, supporting families across 120 suburbs. Based at Mount Druitt Community Health Centre, you will work within a multidisciplinary Child and Family Health team delivering holistic, person-centred care.

What you'll be doing

As a Clinical Psychologist in Community Paediatrics, you will deliver high-quality, evidence-based psychological services to children and families, addressing behavioural, emotional and developmental concerns.

* Conduct triage, assessment, diagnosis and therapeutic interventions for children aged 0–18
* Develop and implement child- and family-focused treatment plans
* Provide individual, group and parenting-based interventions
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support holistic care
* Contribute to service improvement, research and clinical education activities

Qualifications

Qualification: Master's degree or higher in Clinical Psychology

Registration: Current general registration as a psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with relevant area of practice endorsement – Clinical Psychology

Selection Criteria

* Completed Clinical Psychology degree with the ability to practice independently. Completion of a registrar/training program is highly desirable.
* Demonstrated experience in administering, interpreting and writing reports for a range of assessments including the Griffiths, ADOS, ADIR, Conners, Vineland and ABAS.
* Experience in facilitating parent groups such as 123 Magic and COS-P and ADHD/behavioural management strategies in both individual and group settings.
* Demonstrated understanding of the dynamics and effects of abuse, neglect and domestic violence and best practice when working with children experiencing child protection issues.
* Effective interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and work with families from differing socioeconomic and /or culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds to achieve client outcomes and goals.
* High level of written clinical documentation skills with demonstrated competency in using computer based applications including electronic health records.
* Demonstrated excellent time management and organisation skills to provide timely and appropriate services and meet workload expectations.
* Current driver's licence valid in Australia and willingness to use for work purposes and work flexibility at varying sites across the district
