Worker Assist Tasmania, in partnership with Women's Legal Service Tasmania, offer a gendered employment specialist service for women across the state to provide comprehensive employment advice, representation, advocacy and support.

We are a statewide community legal service for women and non-binary people living in Tasmania. We have offices in Hobart, Launceston, and Burnie, and deliver outreach across the state.
Our Mission
We provide free legal advice and representation, wrap-around social work and financial counselling services; deliver community legal education; and participate in law reform and advocacy.
Job Overview
Worker Assist Tasmania seeks a Senior Solicitor to join our team. The role will sit within Worker Assist Tasmania in Hobart. Some intrastate travel is required as part of the role.
The ideal candidate will have experience providing high quality trauma-informed legal advice and representation, and leadership responsibilities such as mentoring junior lawyers/case officers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide legal advice and representation statewide, focusing on workers' compensation and employment.
* Mentor junior lawyers/case officers.
