The Role
We’re on the lookout for a hands-on, reliable, and enthusiastic Farm Operations Team Members to join their crew. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working outdoors, being amongst and caring for animals, and taking pride in producing quality, farm-fresh eggs.
Every day is a little different – from collecting eggs and keeping our hens healthy, to making sure equipment is running smoothly. It’s practical, physical work where you’ll make a real difference to hen welfare and the quality of the food we put on Australian tables.
We take pride in clear processes on our farm and provide a buddy during team member induction.
Key Responsibilities
- Egg Collection & Quality Control
- Collecting and sorting eggs (yes, you’ll become an egg expert!)
- Running the egg packing machine
- Following safe handling and biosecurity procedures
- Keeping relevant and up to date records on eggs, hens, and equipment
- Hen Health & Happiness
- Checking on our flocks daily – nests, feeders, drinkers
- Helping with vaccinations, worming, and other flock care
- Assessing and caring for any unwell or injured birds
- Data & Record Keeping
- Accurate data entry for flocks, checks and production
- Taking proactive steps to keep things running smoothly
- Monitoring and checking plant and equipment to maintain quality standards
- Physical Requirements
- Manual handling of egg stacks, boxes and packaging
- Actively participate in and follow all workplace OHS policies, procedures, and instructions
About you
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Previous farm experience (advantageous, but not essential)
- As you can imagine, keeping a farm safe and birds healthy takes a lot of care. That’s why, as part of our clients commitment to biosecurity, we ask that team members don’t keep their own chickens or other poultry while working with them.
