Our client is a market-leading team with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects. They are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their growing business.
Known for their reputation for client-focused, innovative solutions, they specialise in transport infrastructure buildings as well as commercial & industrial construction projects, including upgrades, refurbs, and extensions. Their refurbishment work often involves structural trades and demolition.
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the daily delivery of high-quality, on-time construction projects, managing multiple projects to ensure completion according to drawings, specifications, and timeframes.
You will oversee and support project teams in contract management throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring project quality and profitability while minimizing financial and contractual risks.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Designing comprehensive project programs and communicating them to the team
- Managing project delivery from inception to completion
- Managing tender processes
- Ensuring construction programs are followed and projects meet quality standards
- Identifying and managing construction risks, escalating issues as needed
- Managing project expenditure and cash flow
- Overseeing external engineering design aspects
- Managing design processes
- Managing on-site subcontractors
- Maintaining HSEQ requirements
- Producing progress reports
- Managing client expectations
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or similar
- Minimum 10 years' experience delivering projects from start to finish with a builder or head contractor
- Proven leadership skills in building and motivating teams
- Detailed knowledge of local council and regulatory standards
- Strong project financial reporting skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite
