About the role
As a Team Leader - Youth Accomodation Service, this is your opportunity to lead an effective and high functioning team of youth workers to deliver quality client-centred supported crisis accommodation for young people aged 15-24 years of age who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness.
Reporting to the Program Manager, this is a permanent, full-time position, located in Kalgoorlie, WA.
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS Award, level 6.
How you will make an impact
* Implementation of service delivery processes and tools
* Effective rostering and work allocation across the team
* Provide specialist expertise to workers to resolve case concerns
* Ensure active leadership in delivering quality service and outcomes across all aspects of the program
* Facilitate and participate in regular client reviews and case consultations to ensure effective and ongoing case management responses to all young people
* Ensure all risk and safety plans are executed and updated regularly
* Monitoring service performance targets and collaboratively identifying strategies to address issues with Program Manager
What you will bring
* Degree qualification in social work, welfare, community development or related field (Applicants with less formal qualifications will still be considered if there's significant experience in working with at risk youth or in a residential care environment).
* Demonstrated high level of sector knowledge and skills attained through previous work roles, service and study/development
* Experience in leading and supervising staff
* WA Working with Children Check
* Drivers licence
* A national police record check is required (completed by TSA during recruitment)
* First aid certificate (current or able to get within three months)
