JOB DESCRIPTION
WMPG is seeking a mature, self-driven and proactive Maintenance Fitter to join our team on a full-time basis. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, your duties will include but are not limited to:
* Maintaining and repairing various equipment including packaging machinery, grinders, conveyors, and vacuum machine.
* Being able to diagnose, fault find and repair.
* Performing preventative maintenance schedules, attending breakdowns, minimising downtime and implementing constant improvement initiatives.
* Playing an active part in installation and overhaul activities.
* Carrying out inspections.
* Maintaining safe work & operating practices and high standard of housekeeping.
* Contributing to team structures to achieve maintenance targets.
* Involvement with company continuous improvement.
* Contribution as an active member of the WMPG team.
HOURS OF WORK
Monday to Friday.
Saturday at penalty rates.
JOB CRITERIA
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
* Experience in meat processing environment (desirable).
* At least 2-3 years' experience in a similar role.
* Basic welding – Stick & mix (desirable).
* Willing and able to undergo a pre-employment medical.
* The ability to multitask and prioritise.
* The ability to be highly organised, reliable, and committed to the role.
* The ability to be flexible with your availability and work hours.
* The ability to find appropriate solutions to routine problems and be flexible in a dynamic environment.
