The Opportunity
We're looking for an Account Manager (PR) to join our team and contribute to a wide range of communications work, including purpose-led campaigns, brand reputation and stakeholder engagement.
You'll support the implementation of client strategies, build your media and stakeholder relationships, and bring a high level of care, detail and curiosity to every project.
This is a role for someone with a strong work ethic, a genuine interest in the world around them, and a desire to do work that makes a difference.
We are looking for a PR all-rounder who can work across integrated communications campaigns. While media will play a heavy component of the role, we are looking for a candidate that can support our clients across media, social, influencer and events.
What You'll Be Doing
Client Work and Campaign Execution
* Developing, presenting and executing PR and influencer strategies for our clients, with a focus on earned media for PR campaigns that ultimately drive business impact.
* Developing and workshopping proactive and reactive media angles that achieve cut-through, drive impact for our clients and generate media coverage across TV, radio, print, digital and social.
* Writing attention-grabbing and creative copy for media assets, including media releases, media fact sheets, briefing notes, opinion editorials and tailored pitches, and developing easy-to-digest influencer briefs, strategy documents and reports.
* Building and developing media and influencer lists.
* Tapping into and growing your current media, producer, influencer and talent manager contacts, as well as forming new relationships to secure media coverage and negotiate talent deals.
* Consistently generates quality PR coverage that aligns with the strategic needs of clients
* Accountability for achieving set coverage KPIs and generating quality PR coverage.
* Support the planning and delivery of media events and activations.
* Understanding of managing social media channels on behalf of clients, including delivering counsel and producing organic content development.
* Ability to use Canva to create content for client platforms.
Account Management:
* Performs day-to-day tasks with limited support.
* Be client-facing and have consultative, advice-driven conversations with clients and prospects surrounding the media and influencer landscape.
* Project coordination and team management to deliver results
* Post-campaign reporting to review activity against business impact, and make recommendations to our clients that focus on industry best practices, trends and opportunities to optimise their activity.
* Build great relationships with our client partners, team members, media contacts and influencers.
* Strategic problem-solving skills to be able to identify potential issues, troubleshoot and execute solutions that drive results to hit our KPIs.
* Collaborate with colleagues across the business to ensure all client campaigns are integrated and drive success for our clients.
* Analysis of current and completed campaigns regularly and managing up on results and your efforts to improve.
* Support to junior team members, including briefing and reviewing of work.
Internal Collaboration and Growth:
* Contribute ideas and insights to team brainstorms and strategy development.
* Participate in one-on-one check-ins and personal development planning.
What We're Looking For
We're open to diverse backgrounds, but we are looking for:
* 3+ years of experience in PR, communications, media or a similar environment. Agency experience is a must.
* Interest in purpose-led work, social issues and corporate communications.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Confidence to engage with media and external stakeholders professionally and over the phone.
* Ability to work across an integrated communications campaign.
* A collaborative mindset and a willingness to learn.
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team, with direction from the Senior Account Manager and Agency Director.
* A proven track record in delivering PR and influencer marketing campaign successes that you can share with us.
