**The Role**:
An exciting opportunity is now available for a dedicated and driven individual to join our Geelong team in the position of Regional Manager. With the opportunity to potentially work your way into a partnership, we need extremely motivated people that can think outside the box.
This diverse role will involve managing the estimation and delivery of projects within the insurance building industry and ensuring works are completed according to time, cost and quality principals. Furthermore, the successful applicant will oversee the running of Johns Lyng Geelong and will actively contribute to the business unit's ongoing growth and profitability.
**Key Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Manage the estimation & delivery of projects
- Ensure all time, budgetary & quality requirements are met
- Oversee the running of the Johns Lyng VIC West business unit
- Build & maintain relationships with new & existing clients
- Ensure a constant stream of work to maintain work in hand levels
- Manage a small team of estimators, supervisors & office staff
- Monitor performance of team members & be directly involved in their work
- Complete quarterly KPI reviews to monitor staff progress & performance
- Develop solutions to address gaps in performance or patterns that are predictive of upcoming risks and issues
- Anticipate critical needs for talent & ensure the right people with the right competencies are performing effectively in every position
- Compile monthly reports, including financials, budgets, growth & new business
- Drive the development of new ideas & systems
- Invoicing, cost reporting & debtor management
- Ensure all work conforms to legislative & contractual OHS requirements
- Travel around the Geelong region as required
**Key Selection Criteria**:
- Varied background in the building & construction industry
- Carpentry qualification / builders licence
- Ability to lead & motivate a team
- Experience managing multiple construction projects
- Background in the Insurance Building industry ideal, however not essential
- Excellent communication & customer service skills
- Strong relationship building skills
- Ability to manage multiple & competing priorities
- Ability to be empathetic to the needs of the client
- Sound work ethic and high level of computer literacy
- Understanding of OHS practices, legislation, regulations & current market rates
- Current motor vehicle licence
