Select L&T Pty Ltd – Diesel Mechanic role based in Smithfield (NSW), Australia | req24946. The role is responsible for overseeing the repair and maintenance of Prime movers, Rigids and LPG Tankers.
What You Will Enjoy Doing
* An exciting opportunity has become available for a permanent full-time Diesel Mechanic based in our workshop located at our Smithfield site.
* You will carry out routine and specialist diagnosis of vehicle/plant failures and implement resolutions
* Experience working on Kenworth, Mack, Volvo, UD, Isuzu & Hino
* In addition, the ability to ensure compliance to NHVAS requirements while meeting WHS regulations
* Ability to handle busy situations of incoming work and adapt to the demands of an ever-changing priority schedule
* Assist in managing and ordering parts as required and build positive relationships with Employees, Suppliers and Customers
What Makes You Great
* You hold relevant trade qualification - Heavy Duty Mechanic (Please apply even if you are in your 3rd year or 4th year apprentice)
* Car Licence is essential, HR Licence and MC Licence is desirable
* Dangerous Good Licence, Forklift High Risk Licence and Working at Heights are desirable
* Confined Space Training/Competency is desirable
* Excellent interpersonal communication skills and a solid drive to lead by example
* You have current knowledge of industry sector and working practices of heavy-duty plant/vehicle maintenance and repairs

We offer an hourly rate $40-$55 per hour plus allowances based on vehicle type.
