About the Role

The Assistant Department Manager plays a vital role in the day-to-day operations of their department, working closely with colleagues across the store to deliver an exceptional customer experience and team environment.

Supported by the Store Leadership Pathway, Assistant Department Managers have the opportunity to develop key leadership skills and gain insight into department capabilities for future growth and development.


Key Responsibilities

1. Engage and delight customers through Everyday ACTs – Acknowledge, Care & Thank.
2. Prioritize safety for team members and customers by ensuring correct processes are followed in-store.
3. Develop a strong understanding of department operations to provide excellent support to the department team on a daily basis.
4. Collaborate with others to achieve outstanding outcomes.
5. Broaden awareness of your own leadership style and aspire to become a future leader.
6. Recognize the value of cross-store collaboration to create a seamless shopping experience for customers.
7. Maintain a curious mindset to continually develop your skills and capabilities in support of career progression.
