LEARNING OUTCOMES: You could be provided work experience in the following areas: Maintain and troubleshoot internal systems: CRM (e.g., Salesforce/HubSpot), marketing automation tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Marketo), and basic web analytics (Google Analytics). Manage user access, roles, and data security for marketing and sales tools. Support basic integrations between IT systems (e.g., CRM ↔ ERP ↔ Email platform) using APIs or middleware (Zapier, Make, or custom scripts). Respond to technical tickets from marketing/sales teams (e.g., broken forms, sync errors, slow reports). Under direction of the marketing manager, implement technical changes: set up email tracking parameters, create simple landing page forms, or ensure lead data flows correctly. Run existing reports in CRM or analytics tools (e.g., “show me lead volume by source last week”) – no analysis or strategy required. Learn basic commercial metrics (lead, conversion, pipeline) to understand why technical requests matter. Document simple “self-serve” guides for sales reps (e.g., how to export a list from CRM). TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED: Must-Have – Technical 1–3 years in IT support, systems administration, or junior development. Working knowledge of databases (SQL querying – basic SELECT/JOIN). Experience with at least one CRM or marketing tool (even as a user). Ability to read API documentation and troubleshoot integration errors. Scripting skills (Python, JavaScript, or Bash) for simple automation tasks. Nice-to-Have – Marketing/Sales (not required) Took 1 course on digital marketing or sales fundamentals. Familiar with terms: lead scoring, drip campaign, MQL, SQL, CAC. Used Google Analytics or similar web analytics tool. Soft Skills Patient and clear communicator (you will explain technical limits to non-technical marketing people). Willing to ask questions like “What is the business goal here?” without needing deep domain knowledge. Organized in ticket management and documentation.
