About the Role
Part of the Department of Enterprise, Industry and Trade cluster, Create NSW focusses specifically on achieving the NSW Government’s priority of fostering excellence in arts, music, screen and culture in NSW. We work collaboratively with artists and arts workers, the arts and cultural sector and our partners within government to provide a range of support services including management of grants of varying scales to recipient government and non-government organisations; overseeing more than $ in cultural infrastructure projects to create the spaces where arts can flourish; and managing a portfolio of arts and heritage properties predominantly leased to cultural organisations.

The Regional Arts Funding & Development Manager is responsible for the NSW State Government’s relationship with regional stakeholders including Regional Arts Development Organisations. It plays an important role in the delivery of professional services and partnerships between Government and the arts and cultural sector that support the vibrancy and viability of the arts, culture and screen sectors across the state.
In this role you will:
4. Lead the delivery of funding and program outcomes for regional NSW including consultation and support for key stakeholders and develop the capacity of the regional arts and cultural sector.
5. Facilitate a constructive relationship between the NSW Government and regional arts, culture and creative industries stakeholders, providing support and advice and brokering Local Government relationships.
6. Collaborate with other teams within Create NSW including Communications, Infrastructure and policy, providing advice to ensure that there is common understanding of the issues in regional NSW.
7. Contribute to promotional strategies to highlight arts and cultural activities in regional NSW especially where delivered by Regional Arts, Culture and Creative Industries stakeholders including the Regional Arts Development Organisations.
About You
You have strong knowledge of the arts, culture and/or screen sectors and significant experience and understanding of regional NSW.
You will understand the workings of government across local, state and federal tiers. You can deliver on multiple tasks concurrently and manage diverse stakeholders who may have conflicting views.
Your excellent negotiation skills will be highly valued. You will be building and maintaining strong relationships with a range of stakeholders so your ability to clearly communicate is key to success in this role.

Clerk Grade 9/10 $120,859 - $133,183 plus 11% superannuation and annual leave loading.
