**About us**
The AMEB (NSW) is the agency responsible for administering Australian Music Examination Board exams in New South Wales. AMEB (NSW) manages practical and written examinations in music, speech and drama, from preliminary grades through to Fellowship in Music Australia, in accordance with AMEB syllabuses.
At the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) we work with the NSW community to drive improvements in student achievement. We achieve this by supporting all school sectors with high-quality syllabuses, assessment (including managing the HSC and NAPLAN), teaching standards (e.g., accrediting teachers) and school environments (including setting and monitoring school standards).

**About the role**
This role is a fantastic opportunity to lead the strategic vision and program operations for the AMEB.
As the Head of AMEB you will also ensure appropriate project management structures are in place to support the smooth running of examinations, including effective risk and issues management. Other key responsibilities include budget and resource management.
It's an exciting time to join the AMEB to lead a diverse team and drive an agenda of change and key improvement projects, including technology reform and customer relations projects.
- Excellent stakeholder relationship skills to lead effective change and issues management and deliver important project outcomes that meet all stakeholders needs
- A background running large scale projects or programs that deliver impactful change (ideally in a government or similar setting with scale and complexity).
**Essential requirements**
- Project management experience
- Current NSW driver's licence
- Due to the nature of the work, the occupant will be required to undertake some work outside of standard business hours to manage events. On occasion the role will be required to work at different locations. Some intrastate travel may be required.
