Overview
The Uniting Church in South Australia comprises of almost 250 congregations, conducting extensive and diverse mission activities across the state. We are seeking to appoint an Insurance Officer to facilitate the insurance program across the entities of the Uniting Church in South Australia.
Responsibilities
- Reporting directly to the Manager, Insurance & Risk, and in liaison with the insurance broker, provide support and advice in matters relating to insurance and insurable risks to the Synod, Presbyteries and Congregations.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the insurance industry, the organisation’s insurance policies and cover.
- Receiving and managing insurance claims and changes to insurance cover.
- Administration and processing tasks associated with renewals, endorsements and claims.
- Assisting with the development of insurance information and resources.
- Development of procedures and systems to support the insurance activities.
Qualifications
- Microsoft Office skills in Word and Excel, coupled with previous experience in commercial underwriting, claims or broker workplace, or a similar role.
- Tertiary or insurance industry qualifications will also be highly regarded.
