We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Accounts Payable Officer to join our national Finance team in ACT. This role supports invoice processing, subcontractor compliance, and financial reporting. This role would be ideal for someone looking for a part-time position that combines finance, operations support, and career development opportunities in a dynamic industry. There is flexibility to accommodate the most suitable three working days required in the week.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process vendor invoices, credit notes, expense claims, company credit card transactions, and payments
* Manage the AP inbox, respond to vendor enquiries, and resolve invoice issues
* Set up and maintain vendor accounts, including banking detail verification and statement reconciliations
* Oversee payment runs and create payments via the bank portal
* Support subcontractor compliance and payment scheduling
* Assist with intercompany reconciliation, EOM tasks, and month-end queries
* Provide clerical support and assist with AP-related reports and ad hoc finance tasks
* Support facilities and company onboarding activities
Key Experience & Capabilities:
* Minimum 3 years' experience in accounts payable, with strong attention to detail and data accuracy
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
* Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and familiar with ERP/accounting systems (e.g. MYOB, Xero, Dynamics)
* Strong organisational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills across internal and external stakeholders
* Positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to support beyond core duties
