Telecommunications Installation and Maintenance Technician
This role involves installing, maintaining and troubleshooting telecommunications equipment and networks to ensure optimal performance. You will work closely with our technical team to deliver projects efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
* Install and configure telecommunications systems, including fibre optic, copper and wireless networks.
* Diagnose and rectify faults in telecommunications hardware, software and network configurations.
* Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment to minimize downtime.
* Operate and maintain specialized telecommunications testing equipment.
* Prepare and update technical documentation and reports.
* Assist in the design and implementation of network upgrades and expansions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Telecommunications Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
* Minimum 3 years' relevant experience in telecommunications installation and maintenance.
* Strong understanding of fibre optic and copper network systems, wireless communications and related technologies.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and manuals.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Benefits:
