I am currently partnered with a Federal Government Agency who is seeking multiple APS5 Project Officer's to join their team on a 12-month temporary assignment with potential to extend.

The APS5 Project Officer is accountable under limited supervision to undertake moderately complex to complex work. Legislation, policies, procedures, standards, methodologies and precedents guide the position.
The position will undertake activities and tasks using available information where options are not always evident. It will be required to perform procedural, clerical, administrative and operational tasks that supports and contributes to our client's organisational objectives to be a world leader in their space.
The APS5 Project Officer is a team membership position and is accountable for organising their workflow and making independent decisions relating to an area of responsibility. The position will provide policy advice within an area of specialisation with advice based on policies and legislation.
The position will have a considerable level of contact with internal and external stakeholders and will be required to communicate with and provide advice on a range of matters to resolve moderately complex to complex enquiries.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Assisting in project management and coordination activities, monitoring and reviewing program and project activities against plans.
- Contributing to the development and management of project plans and schedules in accordance with the Agency's project management framework.
- Providing advice, procedural guidance and technical expertise in specific areas of project work.
- Performing research work and analysis including contributing to the preparation of reports on relevant project activities.
- Contributing to regular project reporting including status updates and exception reports.
- Drafting a range of written material including business cases, plans, executive briefs and corporate documentation for review.
- Assisting with monitoring project budgets, review and report on expenditure and assist with procurement and contract management.
- Assisting with the identification and management of project risks, issues and benefits.
- Assisting with project quality management to ensure that project deliverables are fit for purpose and meet client needs.
- Collaborating with team members to achieve program, project and business outcomes.
**What you'll need to succeed**
To succeed as the APS5 Project Officer, you will need to demonstrate the ability to:
- Provide sound advice to stakeholders regarding recruitment related issues and queries.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to support recruitment processes.
- Resolve problems using knowledge and experience and taking the initiative to identify alternative courses of action.
- Provide efficient and effective workforce data analysis and reporting.
- Successful applicants for this role must be a full Australian Citizen.
Desirable skills for an APS5 Project Officer to succeed are:
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Proven HR Workforce Analyst Experience.
