As this is a specialist volunteer role you must have skills and experience in aged care services – experience from working in aged care, or through supporting a family member or friend accessing aged care services in an Australian context is required.
STARS empowers older people with care and expertise, enabling them to make informed decisions. With STARS by their side, an older person in hospital receives personalised assistance to navigate their transition, explore suitable aged‑care options, and gain independent, confidential support to inform decision‑making.
