Randstad is currently partnering with a prominent Local Government entity focused on managing and leading infrastructure and natural asset programs. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Infrastructure Group dedicated to the development of new infrastructure, sustainable waste management, and the renewal of existing assets.
About the Role
Reporting to the Team Leader Roads and Transport, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of road and transport engineering services. This position offers a blend of technical engineering, project funding work, and community engagement.
Responsibilities
* Technical Advice: Provide expert advice on civil engineering, road and transport matters, including traffic engineering and parking management
* Community Engagement: Investigate and respond to community concerns regarding road safety, footpath conditions, parking, and traffic management. This includes attending meetings and drafting correspondence.
* Funding & Grants: Contribute to applications for externally funded programs such as the Black Spot Program, Roads to Recovery, and Vulnerable Road User Program.
* Reporting: Prepare concise, high-quality reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
* Data & Decisions: Utilise a data-driven mindset to inform engineering decisions
To be considered
* Have a minimum of 2 years experience in the planning, design and delivery of road related and transport infrastructure projects
* Have strong design and documentation skills
* Have strong verbal and written skills
