Job Title: Mechanical Fitter
We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team at the Kwinana Waste to Energy Project.
This is a long-term opportunity with a Monday to Saturday work week, 54 hours per week. Reporting to the Project Supervisor, you will be responsible for fit-up and welding of structural steel, including chutes, ducting, platework and supports, along with the installation/fit-up of piping.
About the Role:
* Fabricate, assemble, install, test, inspect, and repair mechanical equipment and machinery
* Perform maintenance tasks on existing plant and equipment
* Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with site safety procedures
About You:
* A Trade Qualification - Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (Fitting/Machining)
* Prior experience working as a Mechanical Fitter on a similar construction project
* A Construction Card (WA White Card)
* An HRWL with Work Platform (WP)
* Tickets for both Confined Space Entry and Working at Heights
What We Offer:
* A casual flat rate of $56.30 per hour
* $2.00 per hour (flat) Project Incentive Payment (PIP) - paid at project completion
* $3.00 per hour attendance allowance
* 1.75 ordinary hours per week severance
Key Responsibilities:
As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining mechanical equipment and machinery. This includes fabricating, assembling, and repairing mechanical components, as well as performing routine maintenance tasks on existing plant and equipment.
In addition to your technical skills, you will also need to conduct regular safety inspections to ensure compliance with site safety procedures.
