As a Human Resource Officer, you will play a key role in supporting recruitment and selection processes, providing operational HR advice, and contributing to the employee life cycle. You'll work closely with hiring managers and business units to deliver high-quality recruitment outcomes and ensure a seamless experience for candidates and stakeholders.
In the role you will:
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to positively influence recruitment outcomes.
• Coordinate and participate in recruitment and selection processes, including shortlisting, interviews and reference checks
• Review and prepare selection reports and ensure all pre-employment checks are completed.
• Research and implement creative candidate sourcing strategies to improve recruitment practices.
• Provide operational HR support and advice across the employee life cycle.
• Coordinate training and development activities to build a skilled and capable workforce.
This position reports to the Principal Human Resource Advisor.
Mandatory requirements:
• Criminal history screening.
• A "C" class driver's licence.
To excel in this role, you will need:
• Well-developed interpersonal and strong communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven project and time management skills to meet deadlines.
• A commitment to high-quality customer service and teamwork.
• Demonstrated experience with high volume recruitment and selection processes.
• Experience using HR systems (e.g., SAP, Springboard) and Microsoft Office Suite is desirable.
• Willingness and ability to travel across the North Queensland Region a part of the role.
