Monitors program compliance with CR, federal and state licensure regulations for the purpose of ensuring certification compliance. Facilitates ICF Human Rights Investigations. Performs reviews for day program oversight.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Routinely monitors ICF programs. Focal points include: consumer program files (including service planning), environmental inspection, compliance of Clinical Policy and Procedure Manual, consumer financial files (as applicable), medical files and Licensure follow-up, as needed.
* Works with designated Clinical Director to develop and monitor Day Program compliance for active treatment and regulatory standards
* Conducts a comprehensive audit summary for all audits to include the development of an action plan, assessment of training needs and follow up on action plan implementation
* Prepares recommendations for program and/or systemic improvements and assesses change, compliance and improvement results.
* Oversees and provides support for internal QI reviews by program managers. Areas that need improvement are addressed with formal recommendations.
* Maintains ICF manual for agency and ensures regulatory standards are accurately reflected in manual.
* Prepares quarterly reports, outlining QI activity in prior three months. Focal points include a detailed analysis of: State and Federal Licensure activity, citations received (if any), Quality Improvement Reviews, Clinical Policy/Procedure and forms updates, and abuse/neglect allegation investigations and outcomes.
* Participates in regulatory inspections and works as part of team in developing compliance reports and ongoing monitoring
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
* Participates in ICF training and other duties assigned by Supervisor.
* Attends Clinical Services Meetings and presents Quality Improvement, licensure, information and updates as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATE/LICENSE:
Masters Degree preferred but will consider a combination of degree and progressive program supervision or auditing experience to total 8 years in the field of intellectual disabilities.
* Needs to be familiar with Virginia state regulations, Medicaid standards and federal regulations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Requires good communication, use of a computer, good writing and analytical skills
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Office environment; both at main office and at each facility.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
Under the direct supervision of the Senior Director of Clinical Services.
