This is an exciting, newly created role that will support the achievement of ACEN Australia's growth plans in a way that cultivates a productive, positive, trustworthy, successful and values based working environment for all. This set-up and transition role plays an important part in driving and aligning the organisational values and philosophy with key HR systems to ensure people are well supported, engaged and effectively working towards achieving mission-focused objectives. By striking the balance between operational and strategic HR activities, your hands-on roles and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Developing, implementing, and continually improving contemporary, fit-for-purpose HR people systems and processes, including implementation of a new HRIS system in collaboration with payroll, IT and other relevant team members
- Assisting line managers with recruitment, onboarding, induction and offboarding
- Leading the development and implementation of a business-wide Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Action Plan
- Ensuring and assisting with appropriate employee engagement, wellness, injury management, return to work planning, co-ordination and support, and workers compensation administration
- Ensuring ACEN Australia maintains legislative compliance across all IR, HR, training, policy and people management aspects of the business
- Embodying the values and leading by example in partnership with all team members and stakeholders
**What you'll need to succeed**
You will be an accomplished, respected, HR Leader with demonstrated experience, and who aligns with the ACEN Australia vision, mission and values. You will be a relationship builder, who can guide, mentor and provide sound direction and build fit for purpose systems with a balance of empathy and business acumen. You'll have thorough generalist working knowledge of the contemporary HR and IR landscape and familiarity with relevant government and agency bodies with a hands-on approach and a can-do attitude.
**What you'll get in return**
This rewarding role will see you driving and delivering tangible People, Performance and Culture outcomes on a regular basis. You will be based in the Hobart Battery Point or Melbourne office, with a competitive salary based on experience. This is an autonomous role and flexible arrangements are available, with no mandates to be in the office a certain amount of days. However there is an expectation you will be closely engaged and able to be present with the business and its people. You'll have the chance to be a part of a small, agile and growth minded organisation which cares for its people and is fully committed to renewables development.
