Job Description
This role involves providing strategic leadership to a team of professionals responsible for delivering programs and services. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and documenting program service delivery, ensuring compliance with organisational and legislative requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support the team in operating within the mission and guidelines of the organisation and all legislative and funding body requirements.
2. Coordinate case and workloads including rosters specific to the teams program delivery.
3. Maintain a sound working knowledge of the programs service delivery required program outcomes and model a consistent professional approach to all duties associated with the role.
Operational responsibilities include reporting of program delivery performance in approved databases, monitoring for trend analysis and system improvements, as well as participating in direct service delivery and representing the organisation within the agency and wider community.
Additionally, the successful candidate will contribute to Centacare NQ leadership goals by supporting business plan implementation at an operational level.
People Management Staff
* Assist with all aspects of recruitment, staff orientation, training and practice education.
* Provide line management mentoring, support and professional development of staff that is in line with program and organisational needs.
* Monitor staffing needs, including training, support and performance management, as well as recruitment and selection of staff in accordance with Agency policy and procedures.
The successful candidate will also ensure staff's conduct and approach to work is consistent with the organisations ethos and mission, Business Plan and Code of Ethics and Conduct.
Compliance / Risk Management / Reporting
1. Comply with legislation (including Work Health & Safety, Privacy and Equal Employment Opportunity), service agreements and Quality Management requirements.
2. Risk assessment, compliance, mandatory reporting, Quality Management Systems.
3. Actively participate in closure of building duties.
The successful candidate will also oversee and approve program expenditure in line with approved budget and delegation schedule in consultation with the Manager Financial Services.
Desired Skills and Experience
To be successful, you will need:
* A degree level qualification in social work, human services or behavioural science.
* Or a Cert 4 Level qualification in the community sector with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role, working within relevant case management framework, including experience in culturally appropriate community work.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, a current open driver's license, and the ability to obtain or currently hold a Working with Children Blue Card and NDIS Disability Workers Screening Yellow Card.
