Job Summary
We are seeking a Trainee Psychiatrist to join our team. The successful applicant will be part of the Rural Psychiatry Training WA program, working in various locations across Western Australia. As a Trainee Psychiatrist, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in rural generalist psychiatry under the supervision of experienced Consultant Psychiatrists.

About the Role
The position is for Fixed Term Full Time or Fixed Term Part Time appointments, commencing in February 2026. You will work as an integral part of a multidisciplinary team, assessing and managing clients requiring specialist psychiatric care. The role involves working with a range of stakeholders, including patients, families, and community members. You will also be required to participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Required Skills and Qualifications
To be eligible for this role, you must have successfully completed a medical degree and hold current general registration as a medical practitioner in Australia. You should also have completed at least two years (FTE) of general medical training. Additionally, you must be eligible for admission to training with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP).
