St John's College is a Catholic secondary learning community established by the Good Samaritan Sisters in 1940. Opportunity
St John's College, Nambour is seeking two part-time School Officer (Classroom Support/Learning Enhancement) to work three days per week, supporting students' learning needs across multiple classrooms under the guidance of teachers.
* Location: St Johns - Nambour (S)
* Start date: Commencing ASAP
* Work hours: 18 hours per week | 3 days per week
* Salary: School Officer Level 3 - $34.1716/hr + super (School Salary Scale)

Responsibilities
* General classroom support
* Assisting with the planning, preparation and delivery of effective learning and teaching programs for students including the use of technology and learning support activities, which includes administrative duties such as photocopying and filing
* Monitoring the progress of students and identifying learning areas to provide evidence-based intervention strategies
* Improving student learning outcomes by providing support and advice on supporting students with diverse learning needs
* Collaborating with school specialists in organising and assisting with intervention groups to coordinate services
* Documenting observation notes, intervention programs and assisting in the collation and preparation of classroom materials
About You
* Previous experience as a Teachers Aide/Classroom Support and/or hold a minimum Cert III in Educational Support
* Proven communication and interpersonal skills
* An understanding of the workflow of a classroom and a willingness to work as part of a team
* Demonstrates an ability and initiative to apply your skills in supporting students to achieve successful learning outcomes
* Strong skills in planning, preparing, and delivering effective teaching programs
* Ability to monitor student progress and apply evidence-based interventions
* Expertise in supporting diverse learning needs to improve student outcomes
* Collaborative skills to work with specialists and coordinate intervention groups
* Proficient in documenting observations, managing intervention programs, and preparing classroom materials
* For this position you are not required to be Catholic.
