Our Townsville Home and Community Service is seeking dedicated Home Care Workers to join our team on a permanent part-time basis.
In this role, you will offer essential assistance to clients, aiding them in daily tasks to maintain independence and comfort at home. Your responsibilities will include personal care, medication assistance, transportation, domestic duties, and assisting clients to meet social needs.
Monday and Friday availability will be highly desireable.
About the role:
* Perform a range of activities of daily living which may include but is not limited to hygiene, dressing and grooming, shopping, transport and respite in line with the prescribed care plan.
* Support clients to meet their domestic and social needs.
* Follow work plan/schedule and prioritise key tasks.
* Assist in administering medication within the scope of the role and as deemed competent.
* Produce accurate written information using forms, log books and templates appropriate to the task.
Mandatory requirements:
* Current National Police Certificate OR NDIS Clearance
* Current Drivers Licence and own reliable vehicle
* Current First Aid and CPR Certification
* Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Home and Community Care, Disability Services or equivalent
o Completion of Module HLTHPS006 - Assist clients with medication (or commitment to obtain)
o Completion of Module HLTAAP001 - Recognise healthy body systems (or commitment to obtain)
