Finance Manager Role

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Finance Manager to provide strategic financial guidance and support to our hotel leadership team. This is a 12-month fixed-term role covering maternity leave, with the possibility of negotiating either a full-time or part-time schedule.

About the Hotel

Holiday Inn West Perth is located within walking distance of Kings Park, offering 101 guest rooms that blend comfort and charm. The hotel features a destination restaurant and two character-filled boardrooms within the historic Walsh Family residence, built in 1902.



Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

You will report to the General Manager and be responsible for:
* Providing strategic financial guidance to the finance team and hotel leadership.
* Overseeing budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Supervising the creation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
* Ensuring compliance with financial regulations at all levels.
* Identifying and implementing cost-reduction initiatives.
* Guiding and developing the finance team.
* Collaborating with hotel leaders to support business strategies and financial decision-making.



What We Need From You

We require:
* Bachelor's degree or higher education qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
* 5+ years of experience in hotel accounting or audit, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
* Knowledge of accounting management duties such as payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and internal controls.
* Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
* A professional accounting or finance designation or certification is highly regarded.
* Legal right to work in Australia.
