About The Role
The Department of Education, Queensland, seeks a part-time School Community Partnership Officer (Identified) to strengthen connections between the school, families, and community in Hopevale. This position plays a vital role in fostering collaboration to enhance student engagement, well-being, and educational outcomes.
This temporary part-time position will be based at the Cape York Aboriginal Australian Academy's Hopevale Campus until 30 June 2026, unless otherwise determined.
Main Responsibilities
* Establish key relationships with community representatives to foster collaboration for co-design initiatives between the school and its community.
* Influence a place-based approach in your school and community by collaborating with key partners and across government agencies to deliver locally responsive and integrated strategies.
* Prioritize, schedule, and perform work to meet deadlines, commitments, and client service standards.
* Participate in a work team and undertake various project activities.
Mandatory Requirements for Identified Roles
It is a genuine occupational requirement that the position be filled by an Aboriginal person or a Torres Strait Islander person as set out in Section 7 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 for the purposes contained in Section 25 of that Act.
Verification of Aboriginality and/or Torres Strait Island heritage is required.
