PICU Registrar – Women's and Children's Health Network (WCHN) Paediatric Intensive Care Unit, North Adelaide 5006.
Location: North Adelaide, South Australia.
Contract: Full-time, temporary (fixed-term) contract up until 3 February 2030. Total employment term is 3 years under SMOEA 2025, with possible rotations and transfers to other SA Health locations.
Salary: MDP2 – $99,707.00 to $158,523.00 per annum, plus 12% superannuation and salary sacrifice benefits.

Role Description
As a PICU Registrar, you will work under Consultant supervision with an experienced team to provide high-quality care to critically ill and injured children. Your responsibilities include:
* Participating in all inpatient duties such as assessment of new admissions, care coordination, management of day‐to‐day patient progress, discharge planning and follow‐up arrangements.
* Supervising and training junior Trainee Medical Officers.
* Performing emergency and routine patient care procedures under supervision.
* Responding to patient and relative complaints.
* Ensuring patients and families exercise their rights and responsibilities.
Qualifications and Experience
* Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (BMBS) or equivalent.
* Registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner.
* Minimum two years satisfactory experience as an Intern, Resident Medical Officer, or Registrar in a recognised teaching hospital.
* Effective teamwork skills in a multidisciplinary environment.
* Problem‐solving and decision‐making skills (clinical and individual).
