Project Coordinator – Martu Justice Reinvestment Tribal Council (MJRTC)
Salary: $104,800 per annum + Superannuation
Location: Newman, WA (Pilbara region) – Residential role with hybrid/FIFO flexibility for the right candidate
Term: 12-Month Contract
Work Type: Full-Time (38 hours per week)
About the Role
You will work under the line management of the CEO while taking governance direction from the MJRTC. Your primary focus will be to strengthen, organise, and support project delivery across up to five Pilbara communities as they establish place-based Justice Reinvestment sites.
You will work behind the scenes to bring calm structure, clear communication, and reliable follow-through, helping teams stay aligned and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
* Cross-Functional Coordination: Support Martu communities and MJRTC members to co-design a Pilbara JR site model, ensuring milestones are monitored and dependencies managed.
* Project Team Support: Organise regular meetings, prepare agendas, minutes, and summaries, and ensure work is visible and tracked using digital project management tools.
* Reporting & Compliance: Record, collate, and gather evidence to prepare clear, accurate progress updates for the CEO, Board, and MJRTC.
* Workflow & Budget Management: Create and maintain project schedules, coordinate internal teams and external contractors, and track assigned budget lines.

You are organised, dependable, people-smart, and values-aligned, someone who enjoys keeping complex work moving in the right direction, bringing structure without bureaucracy, and holding timelines while protecting relationships and cultural ways of working.
Minimum Experience & Requirements
* At least 2 years of experience supporting or coordinating projects in community, government, corporate, health, education, or not‐for‐profit settings.
* Demonstrated cultural competency and experience working with Aboriginal communities.
* Willingness and ability to live in and travel regularly to remote Western Desert communities.
* Current WA Driver's Licence (4WD/out‐of‐road experience or willingness to train).
* Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) and National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain.
Aboriginality is highly desirable for this position.
