Brisbane
Stellar Recruitment
Quantity Surveyor
Posted: 21 September
Offer description

**Contract Type**:

- Full Time**Location**:

- QLD - Brisbane - QLD**Industry**:

- Building & Construction**THE WHAT**:
Consulting **client side**, you'll have the opportunity to work on major infrastructure around the country, running alongside some of the most talented estimators, planners, and quantity surveyors in the market.

We're looking for a **Cost Analyst/Quantity Surveyor** - **could be someone with 3-5 years experience, or someone who's been in the seat for many years**. The role has three key facets:

- **Developing BOQs** **from drawings/no drawings and interfacing with estimators
- Using previous rates to make **early cost plan estimates***
- Ensure the **claims and variations are accurate** **.

The team is tight knit and work very collaboratively together. You'll be working closely with other CAQS's, estimators, planners, and clients throughout the process.

**THE WHO**:
We've partnered with a market leading engineering consultancy that manage the
_planning_ and
_procurement_ for
_major project infrastructure across Australia_. They specialise in project estimating, planning, and risk analysis, and are working on some of the biggest infrastructure in the country. The team is small enough to be nimble and flexible in their approach but is skilled enough to be the backbone of major construction.
**_Bolster your CV by working alongside the best of the best._**
***

**THE THINGS WE NEED**:
The role can be tailored to match the person, ranging from someone with at least
**3 years** ' experience to someone more
**senior**.
**Attitude** outweighs experience.
If you ask Chat GPT what makes a good CAQS, it spouts out some pretty good answers I thought I'd use:

- Strong analytical skills
- Attention to detail
- Knowledge of industry standards
- Effective communication

Nice, thanks OpenAI! Nailed it. It's a data-heavy role, so the aforementioned is beneficial.
Key requirements include:

- Proven experience in **Australian civil/rail infrastructure** as a **Cost Analyst/Quantity Surveyor/Cost Engineer**:

- Familiar with QS tech including **Bluebeam**, **CostX**, or **CAD** (for take offs).
- Has a prior history of creating **Bill of Quantities** _- imperative_
- Knowledge of **TMR/RMS/Vic Roads** (or similar) and associated BoQ templates will be a big tick, too.

**THE BENEFITS**:
Well, there's a very realistic and generous pay banding which can be flexible to match capability, a great team and culture (which everyone says, but it's true in this case), and exposure to nationwide multi-billion dollar civil infrastructure projects.
**_Do you want to avoid being a cog in a very big corporate wheel?_**
***These guys have a cohesive and collaborate culture where you'll have a name, a voice, and you'll be heard.

**HOW TO GET INVOLVED**: text/call Lauren for a confidential discussion.
