As our Junior Finance Assistant, you'll join a high-performing finance team that underpins the strength and stability of Neptune's operations. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll support daily accounting activities, maintain accurate records, and assist in financial reporting that keeps the business running seamlessly.
A minimum of 2+ years of finance or accounting experience is required for this position.
You'll work across accounts payable, receivable, reconciliations, and reporting — gaining exposure to all areas of finance while contributing to Neptune's operational excellence. Role & Responsibilities
Support the Finance Manager and senior finance team with daily accounting functions.
Process invoices, receipts, and payments accurately and on time.
Maintain accurate financial records and assist with reconciliations.
Prepare data for month-end reporting and assist with budgeting processes.
Help manage supplier and client accounts to ensure smooth financial operations.
Uphold compliance with financial policies, regulations, and internal controls.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function.
Experience & Skills You'll Need
A certificate, diploma, or tertiary qualification (or current study) in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
A minimum of a diploma level qualification is required for this position.
1–2 years of experience in a finance or administrative support role (preferred but not essential).
Payroll processing experience is preferred, but not essential.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, or similar).
Excellent communication and time management skills.
A disciplined and methodical approach to your work.

Australian work rights are required for this position.
Availability to start within 1 month is required.
Must have a valid police clearance and a minimum of two references.
