Job Description
The Team Leader Air Navigation Projects and Systems is responsible for leading a small, highly integrated team of experienced and autonomous ATEL/CNS Aviation Safety Inspectors in the provision of technical knowledge and expertise in complex matters.
This role requires a highly developed regulatory knowledge to lead work of a challenging or complex nature, including detailed or sensitive projects with broader impacts for aviation safety.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain effective team leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
* Conduct regulatory oversight of CNS/ATM systems/services through application of CNS/ATM Section Approach to Safety Cases (CASC)
* Apply CASA Surveillance Manual (CSM) for entry control, ongoing surveillance, and enforcement where required
* Provide high-quality reports utilizing evidence, data, and robust analysis
The ideal candidate will have a minimum Bachelor of Engineering in Aeronautical Telecommunication (ATEL) or Radio Navigation Services and Facilities Engineering core disciplines.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in development, operation, or assessment of safety management system elements are also essential.
Requirements
* Bachelor of Engineering in Aeronautical Telecommunication (ATEL) or equivalent qualification
* Demonstrated understanding of CNS and ATM systems and system-of-systems engineering approach
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to exercise independent judgement and sound political and social awareness
* Demonstrated ability to manage, research, and resolve complex safety-related issues
Candidates must be willing to undergo pre-employment screening, provide required information for police record checks, and obtain a Negative Vetting 1 security clearance.
International travel may be required.
