The Opportunity
As a HRBP, you will work in collaboration with stakeholders to focus on talent management and development, with a strong focus of growing the skills, knowledge, and experience of current and future leaders within the business. With a goal of ensuring your respective business area's current and future people requirements are met, your focus will be on improving and facilitating a variety of HR programs/processes in line with the People priorities.
Area of coverage: VIC, QLD, WA
Base Location: Melbourne
Flexible to travel to visit UNIQLO stores as needed
Key Responsibilities
* Coach and be a trusted advisor to the respective business leaders and associated teams in all related people matters.
* In collaboration with the Store Operations and Training department(FRMIC), determine the right workforce model or structure to deliver the priorities of the business in line with business strategy.
* Work with business leaders to develop IDPs and Succession Plans for upcoming and existing talent to ensure there is pipeline of talent ready in line with business needs/strategy.
* In collaboration with FRMIC, Strengthen the Evaluation system and ensure high quality staff are hired and retained and conduct Evaluation process to achieve Uniqlo global standard of Store staff.
* In collaboration with business leaders work with them on engagement activities and provide recommendations on appropriate people solutions.
* Management of complex ER/IR cases which are escalated to via the HR Hub team together with ER team.
* As HRBP, support the Store Business leaders to provide necessary manhours in both Peak and non-peak seasons for conducting effective business operations to meet customer needs.
* Identify people related gaps (e.g. turnover, absenteeism, high OT) impacting business performance, conduct the necessary research and provide recommendations for improvement
* Recommend and implement Talent Retention initiatives.
Experience, knowledge and skills
* Minimum of 5 years' experience as HR generalist in the Retail Industry, with a focus on talent development, culture, leading change
* Working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
* Prior retail experience desirable
* Workday and/or other HRIS system experience
* Qualification in Human Resources management and/or psychology
* Knowledge on ER related Study
* Business partnering and influences skills

* Strong problem-solving skills
* Business acumen
* Ability to link HR initiatives to business outcomes
