We are looking for a pragmatic and forward-thinking Senior Manager, Organisational Resilience to be a critical leader in this mission.
Reporting to the Head of Group Operational Risk, you will be the Bank's subject matter expert on organisational resilience. You will join a team of experts committed to delivering stronger, more balanced risk outcomes.
This is a unique opportunity to own and evolve our resilience framework, provide robust oversight in line with CPS 230, and ensure the Bank is prepared to withstand and respond to major disruptions.
Your Impact: Building a More Resilient Bank
As the Senior Manager, Organisational Resilience, you will be a key leader in our second line of defence, responsible for ensuring the Bank's resilience posture is strong and effective. You will:
Evolve the Resilience Framework: Lead the continuous improvement and implementation of the Group's Organisational Resilience Framework, ensuring it is aligned with regulatory requirements (especially CPS 230) and contemporary best practice.
Provide Expert Oversight & Challenge.
Enhance Crisis Readiness: Design and facilitate a comprehensive testing program, from tabletop exercises to full-scale simulations, to assess and uplift our crisis and incident response capabilities.
Uplift Capability & Culture: Champion a strong resilience mindset across the organisation. You will coach and guide stakeholders on their responsibilities, promoting a culture of preparedness and continuous learning.

This is a permanent position based out of our Melbourne, Bendigo, Adelaide or Sydney offices.

What you'll bring to the role
To thrive in this pivotal role, you are a seasoned resilience professional with a passion for your field and the ability to lead with influence and authority, especially under pressure. We are looking for:
Deep Resilience Expertise: Extensive experience in organisational resilience within the banking and finance sector, with deep, practical knowledge of Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and Crisis Management.
Mastery of CPS 230: Expert-level understanding of APRA prudential standard CPS 230. You know what 'good' looks like and have proven experience designing frameworks to meet these requirements.
Proven 2LoD Experience: A strong track record of success in a second line-of-defence risk function, with the ability to provide effective oversight and challenge that drives better outcomes.
Calm & Decisive Leadership: Demonstrable experience in leading or playing a key role during incident and crisis response, with a calm, decisive, and authoritative demeanour under pressure.
Influential Stakeholder Engagement: Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with a proven ability to build trusted relationships and drive change with stakeholders at all levels.
