Vanguard Logistics are currently seeking an industry experienced Export Sefreight Manager to join our Sydney team. The successful candidate will have prior experience in export sea freight forwarding operations & staff management to be considered for this role.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Seafreight Export Manager, you will be required to oversee the day to day running of export operations department ensuring work is completed within the required time frame, as well as coordinate the receival and packing of containers ensuring all shipping requirements at origin and destination are adhered to while providing the highest level of Customer Service to all customers. Essential duties & responsibilities as follows:
* Distribute work load evenly between all export staff
* Provide training where required
* Ensure all staff understand and adhere to the departmental SOP
* Ensure all options are researched to establish maximum profitability on all job files
* To manage staff leave ensuring their phone and emails are answered and daily functions are completed in their absence
* Notify staff of any changes to shipping requirements/ processes
* Ensure files are closed reflecting the correct profit at end of month
* Sign off on all export FAK packs in accordance with the ICUP policy
* Review and complete monthly reports by the required due date.
WHATS REQUIRED
* Demonstrated experience in Export FAK freight forwarding operations is essential
* Strong leadership and management skills
* Strong relationship building experience with excellent communication skills, both written & verbal
* Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
* Well organised with the ability to multitask
* High level attention to detail & problem-solving skills
